What we collect
When you use the Care Checker, we collect the answers you provide (relationship to senior, county, level of care, insurance type, and similar). If you choose to be contacted by a navigator, we collect your email, optionally your phone number, your TCPA consent record, the timestamp of consent, your IP address at the time of consent, and the exact text of the consent disclosure you agreed to.
Server logs collect standard request data (IP address, user agent, referring URL, timestamp). We use Google Analytics 4 for site analytics and Hotjar for occasional usability research. Both can be opted out via standard browser controls.
What we do with it
We use your information to provide the navigator service you requested, to follow up on your inquiry, to send you the information you asked for, and to improve the site. We share your information with a specific licensed facility or partner only if you ask us to. We do not sell your information.
TCPA compliance
California Care Compass does not call or text any person without a written, opt-in TCPA consent record. Our forms display an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox. We store your consent timestamp, IP address, and the exact disclosure language you agreed to. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any text or writing to privacy@californiacarecompass.com. CallRail records inbound and outbound calls for quality purposes with an audible disclosure at call start.
Your California privacy rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request a copy, to request deletion, to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, email privacy@californiacarecompass.com.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest in our CRM and storage providers. No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with California law.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
